Have you wanted to volunteer your time and skills, but don't know where to get started?
The Friends of 4449 needs help -- We have many on-going projects that need additional volunteers to work on, such as passenger cars and track equipment. The steam locomotive is in great condition and does not need any immediate work, however, pieces of rolling stock and related support equipment are in need of people interested in working on them.
The next five years will be defining years for this organization as we move out of Brooklyn and into a new facility. Sustainable operations are being worked on, and we are calling for new volunteers to get involved in the bigger picture. If you have any questions or interested in getting involved, email 4449 President Pat Tracy with an introduction, your interests and work experience, and how you'd like to contribute to this organization.
